Review by hotel critic
If you find yourself in Plymouth, the Imperial Hotel offers a practical balance of comfort and affordability, particularly for those of us who cherish both value and a hint of luxury. The location is commendable-just a short stroll to the Hoe and downtown, making it a convenient choice for travelers exploring the area. Our room was spacious enough, equipped with a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee facilities. The cleanliness was noteworthy, ensuring a pleasant stay. Breakfast served a delightful variety, and the dining atmosphere was quite social. While the hotel shows signs of age, with some amenities a bit worn, the overall experience is satisfying given the reasonable price. If you appreciate a mix of history and reliability, the Imperial deserves your consideration for a trip to Plymouth. Just be ready for those charming but challenging hills!
